Shumaila helped plan my wedding for 8 months and took care of the day of coordination as well. She and her team are absolutely amazing! I’m in my first year of medical school so I didn’t have much time to be there every step of the way and she worked around that. I met with her only about 4 times plus some phone calls/texts.  once I picked the decor, caterer and cake I basically took a step back and let Shumaila work with my father in law and sister in law to do the rest. She is very organized and helps you stay on top of planning and will do everything possible to make sure the bride gets what she wants. She is also incredible sweet and easy to talk to and has no conflicts with other vendors. The day of the wedding her team made sure I constantly had water during pictures and made sure I ate at the event. They definitely genuinely care that the bride and groom get what they want and have a great time at the event.  My wedding day turned out to more amazing than I ever imagine and I wouldn’t have been able to pull it off without her and her team.

Shumaila & the entire team at SoCal Event Planners is absolutely amazing! They completely handled all aspects of decor & coordination for 2 of my major wedding events. I literally showed Shumaila 1 picture if my dream wedding and that was all she needed to make my exact vision come alive. Not only did Shumaila lead, plan, and organize my events, she also advised me on other aspects of the wedding process that are outside of her job description. For example, she heard me coughing on the phone so she immediately told me to have a teaspoon of honey & black pepper frequently in order to feel better. She also brought me multiple servings of tea ON my wedding day to soothe my cough. Shumaila is literally a life saver. My engagement was in April 2016 and we set our 500 people wedding date for August 2016. If it wasn’t for Shumaila, there would have been no way that we would’ve been able to pull off such a classy event with soo many people so flawlessly. SoCal Event Planners planned my wedding this past month. Although Shumaila was busy with another event on the day of my mehndi and we had only hired her to coordinate the wedding reception, she still helped organizing the timeline for the mehndi and checking in with the vendors on our behalf. Her team went out of their way to make me and my husband feel comfortable. Further, they did a great job in handling the event and coordinating with the vendors/staff/guests etc.
Shumaila was always available via email/phone to answer any of our questions and was able to meet with us in person several times over the course of the planning period.

She was extremely respectful to the extended family and made sure that all the important guests received the attention they deserved. My husband and I only have good things to say :)

I contacted SoCal Event Planners for help designing my engagement party. I was looking for a rustic and romantic vibe with soft lighting. The event took place in a backyard and started late in the afternoon and ran into late evening so it was really important to make sure that there was enough lighting for pictures and that any weather accommodations were made (although we’re in SoCal, it was predicted to rain the day of the event).

I ended up working with Shumaila who achieved my vision much better than I could have imagined! Shumaila was kind, responsive, knowledgeable, and accommodating. She responded to any concerns I brought up throughout the planning process. She also made sure to bring up any potential design blindspots.

I never planned a party before and I was stressing out before I got in touch with Shumaila who handled everything so gracefully. She paid so much attention to every detail and made me feel comfortable. If she didn’t have a particular item that matched my event idea/them (ex: loveseat) in her inventory she made sure I found one that matched what I had in mind and coordinated everything with other vendors.

I’m so happy that someone suggested I look into SoCal Event Planners! Compared to other planners I’ve contacted, no one comes close to SoCal Event’s competitive pricing, kindness, and care. A week later and I’m still smiling at how everything turned out (it was a gorgeous setting, I had so much fun, and I was so relaxed the day of).

I was introduced to SoCal Event Planners through my decorator Nafisa (Nafees Occasions). I needed a day of the event coordinator for my Reception event of 400 guests and I had very specific plans prepared for how I wanted everything to flow during the Reception day. I found Shumaila by attending another person’s wedding and came to her needing a friend to vent to. She worked with my budget perfectly (very affordable!) and deserved much more than she asked for. Shumaila is a gem and I recommend all my friends and family to book her as soon as they know their wedding date!

Halfway through my planning, I hired her for day-of coordination and she helped me with practically everything else. I don’t know if this was included or out of the goodness of her heart but I can’t imagine my wedding planning or my wedding day without her. She’s friendly, kind and patient. She knows her stuff and she goes above and beyond to make sure I was calm and stress free. She took so much stress out of the wedding planning and I am grateful for her services.

So Cal Event Planners were lifesavers!  After my family and I dealt with the stress of trying to coordinate the Henna/Mehndi night on our own, I realized I needed major help on the wedding day!  I contacted Shumaila just a few days prior to my big day and somehow her and her team members were able to step in and help! They got up to speed on all event details, reached out to my vendors, created a script for my emcees, planned the program and evening’s events and made it all happen! We had some issues with a few vendors during set up which put us on a time crunch. So Cal Event Planners dove right in and corrected all the mistakes while directing other vendors. This was a big help and allowed my family to relax during the set up portion of the event. Shumaila and her team of lovely ladies helped keep my wedding on schedule without any hiccups. My only regret is not contacting So Cal Event Planners sooner!!

So Cal Event Planners was absolutely superb in organizing and executing my wedding day until the very last hour. I had about 350+ guests, and after realizing I had no control in managing anything on the day of the wedding, I knew I had to appoint someone to take care of all the necessary details. I called So Cal Event Planners and met with Shumaila, my Wedding Coordinator. Shumaila worked closely with my mother to get all of our details in order from putting the centerpieces together to coordinating with the decorator, photographer, hotel staff, friends and importantly, the groom! Shumaila has the perfect balance of being easy to work with but still getting great results. She did a great job of easing the planning process. One of the things I underestimated was that a company like So Cal Event Planners can use their connection with vendors to help you get the best. I’ve had friends who did it alone and they paid the price on their special days by having multiple things go wrong. There are no do-overs and the stress isn’t worth it. With two coordinators on-site (Shumaila and Nichole), we didn’t have to worry about anything and had a blast! We were able to enjoy our day worry-free! Shumaila was my right hand at our June 2011 wedding. She took care of every detail on the day of the event – as a bride, it’s wonderful to look back and have only fond memories of the day and not remember a single stressful detail.
